Non-Profit in Grandview, MO has an  immediate opening for an Executive Director to execute and manage the strategies and on-going operations of the busy non-profit and report the board of directors.

In conjunction with the Board of Directors, develops and implements a long-term strategic plan that meets the needs of the clients, staff, volunteers ,and community. Will lead the staff in managing and administering the day to day work of the organization; including the fiscal health of the organization and the programs and services which impact the clients. Develop and implement appropriate fund-raising and financial development strategies to obtain funding necessary to ensure annual and longer-term financial objectives are met. Assist the Board of Directors with board development. Communicate effectively with the Board. Keep Board fully informed on important aspects of the organization.  Will serve as chief spokesperson, communicate effectively with business, government and community leaders. Represent the organization at the local, regional and national level. Oversee day to day operations management. Use systems, staffing, volunteers and resources to facilitate the effective operation of the organization. Ensure  agency meets standard require by federal, state and local fire and health codes by keeping a safe, secure, clean and organized environment.   Maintain official electronic and hard copy records to ensure compliance with federal, state and local regulations. 

To be considered for this position the candidate must have a Bachelor's degree in human services or related field. A Master's degree in public administration, human services, or related field preferred. Minimum of three years experience in a management position. Experience in strategic planning, program development and fundraising. Ability to work with diverse groups of people, organizations and businesses. Be computer literate with heavy working experience using Microsoft Suite software.

Be willing to travel throughout the Kansas City metropolitan area to attend meetings.  Willingness and ability to work extended and non-traditional hours (evenings weekends) on a routine or ad hoc basis.

Job Requirements

To be considered for this position the candidate must have a Bachelor's degree in human services or related field. A Master's degree in public administration, human services, or related field preferred. Minimum of three years experience in a management position.
