This position provides Leads BBBSA Fund Development efforts of the national organization and the broader network, specifically with our local affiliate leadership. Position requires a demonstrated success in an affiliated model, both in individual giving and corporate giving. Fosters a culture of giving that develops, manages and delivers a clearly defined nationwide fundraising strategy. Fundraising strategy will lead to consistent growth in revenue to meet operation and program needs as well as build a suitable level of reserves.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Education & Related Work Experience
Education Level: Bachelor’s Degree Required.
Years of Related Work Experience: At minimum 10 years’ demonstrated successful experience in non-profit fundraising grants and Foundation relationships.
Skills and Knowledge:
Ability to work in diverse groups and be a team player
Ability to manage complex and detailed issues
Expected to be competent, fundraising technician with excellent organizational development specialist
Demonstrate initiative, continuous drive, and follow up on fundraising efforts
Proven precision and accuracy with consistent attention to detail
Comfortable with tight deadlines and continuous follow up with donors and prospective donors
Highly organized in approach, with ability to set and manage priorities
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, fluid corporate environment
Strong writing ability, verbal and presentation skills
Ability to work independently in achieving results consistently, on deadline
Excellent team working skills; ability to collaborate with colleagues to achieve objectives
Sound researching, analysis and reporting skills
Intermediate Excel and Word skills. Basic PowerPoint skills
Certified Fundraising Professional (CFRE)
