Three Keys to Support Corporate to Nonprofit Career Pivots

Magdalena Nowicka Mook, Executive Director and CEO of ICF, writes how careers aren't what they used to be, especially when millennials and GEn Z are concerned.

Mook points out that the millennial and Gen Z generation are often on the lookout for "economically stable, professionally fulfilling and personally meaningful" work, and nonprofit organizations are plenty of those characteristics.

But Mook states that it's not often easy for new hires to transition from corporate to nonprofit work.

Mook gives tips on how organizations can support hires for a smooth transition from corporate to nonprofit work. These include: 1) Build A Strong Onboarding Process, 2) Invest In A Professional Coach, and 3) Encourage Team-Building Activities.
