The Chaffee County Community Foundation is holding its annual awards ceremony Tuesday in Salida, and it's honoring the people who make the county a great place to live.
The Denver Post reports that this year's winners will be announced at a reception following the ceremony at the Salida SteamPlant Plaza.
Among the winners: Nonprofit of the Year: Riverside AmeriCorps, which works with at-risk youth in Chaffee County.
Volunteer of the Year: Woods Distillery, which works with high school students.
Philanthropist of the Year: The Community Foundation of Chaffee County.
Order of the Year: Riverside AmeriCorps, which works with at-risk youth in Chaffee County.
