2023 Nonprofit Trailblazers Awards Honorees

Ron Abad is the CEO of Community Housing Innovations, a housing provider that serves thousands of families in New York City.

He's also one of New York state's first Nonprofit Trailblazers, honored by New York Nonprofit Media for "embodies the principles of charity, diversity, environmentalism, sustainability, and governance."

Abad, who has worked in nonprofit and government for more than 25 years, is also a "major leader, powerful speaker, and thought leader in the housing space," per Crain's New York Business.

Abad was also named one of Crain's New York Business' Notable Hispanic Leaders 2022 and 914Inc's "The Face of Affordable Housing and Home 2022."

The rest of the Trailblazers: Leslie Abbey, CEO of Hot Bread Kitchen: "She is currently CEO of Hot Bread Kitchen, an organization that promotes women's economic mobility utilizing the vibrant New York City food industry as a catalyst, overseeing its strategic plan to support 1,000 breadwinners by 2025."

Lymaris Albors, CEO of Acacia Network: "She joined INCLUDEnyc in 2020 with an aspiration to help families, like hers, navigate the challenges and barriers of the special education and disability systems."
