Freeman Foundation has awarded $100,000 in grants to 15 nonprofits in the state's Sussex County.
The grants, awarded through the foundation's Freeman Assists Communities with Extra Support (FACES) program, will fund programs including literacy and education, food insecurity and homelessness, and at-risk children's programs, the News Journal reports.
"Each of the organizations provides essential services directly to members of our community, and we are thrilled to support the great work they do," says the foundation's executive director.
