Nebraska'S Economic Landscape: Challenges, Opportunities and Strategic Recommendations

Nebraska is No.

1 in the nation when it comes to economic competitiveness, according to a new report from the Nebraska Chamber Foundation.

But that doesn't mean the state is guaranteed to stay that way, the Omaha World-Herald reports.

The foundation, which is affiliated with the state's major business groups, compiled the report with help from a consulting firm and a steering committee of more than 40 business leaders.

Here are some of the report's findings and recommendations, per the World-Herald and the Omaha World-Herald: Nebraska is No.

The report found that Nebraska is lagging behind other states when it comes to key economic factors, including its workforce, infrastructure, business climate, and innovation levels.

"While Nebraska has a robust economy and a high quality of life, addressing challenges head-on is imperative for longterm economic success," the foundation's executive director says in a statement.
