A Chicago-area charity has given more than $900,000 to dozens of community organizations to help people in need, the Chicago Tribune reports.
The DuPage Foundation awarded 53 grants totaling more than $930,000 to groups that provide food, clothes, and other services to people of all ages in the county.
"We're thrilled to announce the awarding of these grants to essential health and human service organizations across our community," the foundation's trustee says.
"This vital investment will directly empower these organizations to continue their critical work, making a real and lasting difference in the lives of countless residents."
