Shionogi & Co., Ltd.
has been operating out of its headquarters in Doshomachi, Osaka, since it was founded in 1878 as a drug wholesaler.
But the company's 150th anniversary in 2028 will see it move its global headquarters to a new office building in Osaka's Gran Green Osaka Park Tower, per a press release.
The office will be called FACEfor "energizing face-to-face communication"and feature what the company calls "an office and headquarters functions that befit our status as a global base."
It's not the first time Shionogi has made a move: In 2016, it moved its US headquarters to Parsippany, NJ.
