Residents of Portage, Mich., whose homes were damaged by a tornado on May 7, can now get help from a local nonprofit.

After the Storm, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, is offering disaster care management services to people who were impacted by the EF2 tornado, WKZO reports.

The city says any residents who had damage to their homes are encouraged to contact After the Storm at (517) 855-8077 to connect with a local disaster case manager.

Callers can expect a response within two business days to start the intake process, ensuring they receive the necessary support and guidance.

After the Storm specializes in long-term disaster response and recovery.

They provide crucial early intervention and help survivors navigate the steps needed to rebuild their lives.
