Katina's Klassroom read to students at the Magee, MS apartment complex giving each child books afterward.
The foundation's mission is to improve reading skills and educational opportunities of pre-k to middle school children in underserved communities.
"We're grateful to be able to serve," said Katina Rankin, founder of the foundation.
"Once we all realize our communities are just one big classroom and we are better together, then we can be thankful not just during the holidays but every day"
