He previously served as chief of vascular surgery at Rush University Medical Center in Chicago.
He led numerous advancements in patient care, including the development of aortic management programs and multidisciplinary emergency care protocols.
He provided critical care to injured soldiers, and has contributed to various national quality improvement initiatives.
