Oversee the daily activities of The Veterans Place men's homeless shelter. Accept referrals from DSS for emergency housing, completion of all necessary intake packet information. Accurate documentation of activities in daily log. Responsible for the safety and welfare of the 23 male residents. Assist with accommodations at shelter.
Monitor all activities at the shelter, i.e. maintenance, meals, chores and transportation, room inspections, security checks, attendance at staff meetings. Assistance with completion of DSS paperwork; menu planning, food shopping, administration of medications; conflict mediation, urine and breathalyzer testing, record keeping, monitoring of phones; working with the public and community groups around donations and activities. Oversee food pantry activities. Other duties as assigned
